CVE-2011-1889 – Schwachstelle in Microsoft Forefront Threat Management
Gateway 2010 Client

Durch eine unzureichende Pruefung von Puffergrenzen bei Anfragen im
Winsock-Povider in der Funktion NSPLookupServiceNext() von TMG (Threat
Management Gateway) ist es einem entfernten Angreifer schlimmstenfalls
moeglich, beliebigen Code auszufuehren. Zur Ausnutzung der Schwachstelle
ist es notwendig, dass ein Nutzer mit einem TMG-Client dazu gebracht
wird, eine spezifische Anfrage zu senden.

Betroffen sind die folgenden Software Pakete und Plattformen:

Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010 Client

Alle Windows-Versionen, auf denen die Software lauffaehig ist.

Vom Hersteller werden ueberarbeitete Pakete zur Verfuegung gestellt.

This security update resolves a privately reported vulnerability in the
Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010 Client, formerly
named the Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway Firewall Client. The
vulnerability could allow remote code execution if an attacker leveraged a
client computer to make specific requests on a system where the TMG firewall
client is used.

This security update is rated Critical for Microsoft Forefront Threat

A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the TMG Firewall Client
