CVE-2011-3379 – Schwachstelle in PHP 5.3.7

Die Version 5.3.7 von PHP ist durch eine Aenderung in der Funktion
is_a() in Kombination mit der Funktion __autoload() anfaellig fuer
entfernte Code-Ausfuehrung. Falls ein Angreifer die Moeglichkeit hat,
eine praeparierte Datei hoch zu laden und es keine adaequate Pruefung
der Daten gibt, kann der Angreifer dies ausnutzen, um beliebige
PHP-Skripte auf entfernten Seiten zur Ausfuehrung zu bringen.

Betroffen sind die folgenden Software Pakete und Plattformen:

Fedora 14
Fedora 15
Fedora 16

Vom Hersteller werden ueberarbeitete Pakete zur Verfuegung gestellt.

PHP is an HTML-embedded scripting language. PHP attempts to make it
easy for developers to write dynamically generated web pages. PHP also
offers built-in database integration for several commercial and
non-commercial database management systems, so writing a
database-enabled webpage with PHP is fairly simple. The most common
use of PHP coding is probably as a replacement for CGI scripts.

The php package contains the module which adds support for the PHP
language to Apache HTTP Server.
