CVE-2009-1885 – Schwachstelle in Apache Xerces C++

Als Teil eines Code-Audit ist eine Schwachstelle im Apache Xerces C++
XML-Parser gefunden worden, die im Zusammenhang mit Byte-Werten und
rekursiven Verschachtelungen stehen. Bei Ausnutzung der Schwachstelle
wird saemtlicher Speicehrplatz auf dem Stack aufgebraucht und als
Folge davon stuerzt die XML-Parserroutine (Denial of Service).

Betroffen sind die folgenden Software Pakete und Plattformen:

Paket xerces

Fedora 10
Fedora 11

Vom Hersteller werden ueberarbeitete Pakete zur Verfuegung gestellt.
