CVE-2009-0696 – Fehlerhafte Zusicherung in der BIND Funktion
dns_db_findrdataset()
Ein Fehler bei der Verarbeitung von Dynamic DNS Update Paketen in der
BIND9 Funktion dns_db_findrdataset() fuehrt dazu, das eine Zusicherung
(Assertion) fehlschlaegt, wodurch der Nameserverprozess beendet wird.
Angreifer koennen diese Schwachstelle ueber das Netz zu einem Denial
of Service Angriff ausnutzen, indem sie ein entsprechend aufgebautes
Dynamic DNS Update Paket an einen verwundbaren BIND Nameserver senden.
Das Paket muss Resource Records aus einer Domain enthalten, fuer die
der Nameserver als Master fungiert. Hingegen spielt es keine Rolle, ob
Dynamic DNS auf dem Server aktiviert sind oder nicht. Bitte beachten
Sie, das alle BIND Nameserver per Default fuer einige Zonen wie z.B.
localhost als Master konfiguriert sind.
Betroffen sind die folgenden Software Pakete und Plattformen:

T0685G06^AAA, T0685G06^AAC, T0685H01^AAB oder T0685H01^AAD
