Broadway: LibreOffice mit Patches von Michael Meeks für Broadway
Michael Meeks von Suse hat für das Linux-Magazin eine angepasste Version von Libre Office erstellt, die mit der noch sehr frühen Version von Broadway funktioniert. Das Archiv einfach nach "/opt" entpacken und auf Suse 12.1 ausprobieren - wie im Artikel beschrieben. Achtung: Broadway ist noch im Alpha-Stadium und funktioniert derzeit nur mit Firefox 4.0.
Dazu noch ein Tipp und der Hinweis auf den Alpha-Status von Michael Meeks selbst:
" [9] toggles some bbox rendering on and off - so you can see which areas of the screen are re-drawn with red boxes around them, and '0' pushes the whole back-buffer to the browser. Presumably by now you've started finding the (myriad) bugs :-) It is really a prototype designed to encourage interest & investment, there are no design problems with taking it to the market, only lots more typing that is only getting done slowly at the moment."
Den dazu passenden Firefox (4.0.1) gibt es im Archiv von Mozilla. Die Entwickler des Browsers haben an späteren Versionen aus Sicherheitsgründen das Websocket-Verhalten geändert, so dass Broadway derzeit nur mit diesem Browser funktioniert.
